MALE: President Nasheed has appointed Dr Aishath Shahenaz Adam as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan at a ceremony held at the President's Office. In accordance with Article 115(l) of the Constitution, the President made the appointment in consultation with People's Majlis.

Following the presentation of the Letter of Appointment to Dr Shehenaz, the President called on her to work to enhance the close relations between the Maldives and Pakistan and to uphold the government’s foreign and civil policies.
