MALE: Maldives Airports Authority (MAA) has said that work is underway to complete establishing a radar system in Male International Airport in Hulhule under the project of 4th phase of Hulhule development. In this regard, on the job training is being given to 10 employees out of the 22 who completed Approach Radar Course and also work is in progress to provide license to handle the radars. MAA said that training to employees is being given by a Malaysian Company and that MAA will be spending more than MRF 1 million for this project. This 3 month long training program began on 15th September and will end sometime in December. MAA further said that when the radar service begins in Maldives, security and protection will be assured for all the flights operating from the airport.
